Are the plans for moulds open source too

Hi folks,

New member and first post.  hope you are all well.

I am wondering if there is a an open source resource for getting plans for the different moulds I see?

I can get the moulds made locally once I have the plans.

Where do you get yours?
is there a place?
or is everyone designing their own?

thanks

Should be quite easy with autodesk inventor student edition?

thanks guys for the feedback.

what I am actually looking for are the details technical drawings so i can give them to a machine shop or welder etc to build.

the library sounds like an awesome idea and great resource.

thanks again

…or programs like freecad or I believe even Inkscape has some CAD plug-ins, or even Sketchup might be a good starting point.

But I think you’re actually asking about getting the models for the moulds, not the software, right @biteme ?

There is work being done to build a mould library, but for now, just PM the the person showing/talking about the moulds, and they will point you in the right direction.

Most moulds are open sourced.

Some are just plain and simply improvised.

Both will give you useful information 😉
