CAM files for shredder (for CNC)

Hi,
I am currently building a shredder for the “Cooperativa Integral Catalonia”, basically a p2p community minded organization, here in Catalonia (near Barcelona, not pain spain 😉

However, they made me aware about this project here and I am all into it now 🙂

Since I don’t have a laser cutter I had to use the usual suspects: CNC, Mill and Lathe. I downloaded the zip for the shredder (awesome material!) and started to create the CAM files in Fusion-360.

I was wondering :

1. is somebody interested in the CAM files ? If so, I can share them through our project page (http://nowproject.eu/projects-2/) which then links to a github source code repository (https://github.com/tx4x/now-project.eu/tree/master/projects/shredder).

2. If you’re open to contributions, could you please stash your shredder files on github? So others have it more easy to extend/fork and therefore contribute. Just to give you an idea: The development of the CAM files took me quite some time but also the cutting on the CNC was quite an adventure. I am happy to share experiences that way (videos, reports,…)

3. Since I had to create some extra tooling for my machine shop, I am glad to produce more parts for this community. Is there a ‘market place’ planned where we can offer shredder parts ?

4. I found some simplifications and optimizations in regard to build the shredder itself, in a more economic way. Where could post this (which forum)

Thanks a lot, I guess I keep you posted here 🙂

Hello !

I’m very interested in the simplifications you found, about where to post them, i don’t know if you’ve heard of wikifab ?

It’s a bit like instructables, but open source and everyone can contribute to tutorials, i think this could be a great place to document the whole project, rather than having to dig deep into the forums to get relevant information.

Have a marvellous day.

We do have a marketplace actually ! http://bazar.preciousplastic.com
