Liquid plastic

Hi!

I would like to know if we can transform plastic regrind into liquid plastic to drop it on wood or concrete mold to create object ? Because extrusion is expensive because of the cost of the metal mold.

Thank you,

Olivier

SHouldn’t be a problem. However you will probably need to go above the plastic melting temperature. Which is usually something you want to avoid. But I think you could also deliver enough pressure on molten plastic to form it, without breaking the concrete.

@melchiah

You need to buy pigments.

So, if i cant transform plastic into liquid, how can i add colour to a plastic. if i use recycled plastic it have difrent colour each time. i would like to start a production and i need to keep molds in exact colour. is there any one who can help me with this problem? I already look for an answere on internet but didn’t find a good solution to my problem. Im realy sory about my english 😛 hope you understand what i ment 🙂

Sorry, but you can’t

the chemical structure of plastic avoid to turn it on a liquid. if the plastic becomes liquid, it had broken its structure and it will become weaker. Once these connections have been broken, you can not join them.
