Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to the field of sustainable plastics and have been doing some research on how different communities are improving recycling processes. I’m particularly interested in how technology can help reduce plastic waste and make recycling more efficient.
I came across some projects that are starting to use AI to sort plastic types and even predict contamination levels. This got me really curious. I’ve recently started a Machine Learning Tutorial to better understand how this tech works and how it might be applied in plastic recycling systems.
Has anyone here been involved in projects where machine learning or any form of automation was used in plastic sorting or reprocessing? I’d love to hear about what tools or methods are working well, especially in small-scale or community-led setups.
I’m hoping to contribute to a local initiative and would appreciate any insights, case studies, or resources you could share.
Thanks so much in advance!
