Melting wolves machines

Hi again,

It took me and especially certain ebay dealers a while, but……
…. he’s done and works awesome!!! 😀

The MeltingWolf Nr1

I hope you like it. Feel free to post or write me any of your thoughts about this project! My email is gpebe@mail.com and my phone number is +31638692078

all the best

Hi @philippeberhardt looks good! I gave you your own topic, your stuff is worth showing 🙂 Feel free to post more images

Ready to put new energy into it. Easy on. your problems are my problems. But that is not a Problem.

Greetings phL

Good question, Best thing to do is, that you keep the from DAVE recommended melting temps. Depends also a bit on the extruder and your heating elements. Hard to tell the exact setting of your machine. You should use a type k thermocouple to measure temps. Good luck m8!!!

1- wich T° its ideal for PLA to melt?

2- what watt power are the calefactors? 150w ? or more?

hi, great work, im working now on a extruder, wich melting T° its recomended for 3D print filament???

Hi there,

the waves are slower and calming down. I am almost back on track and back in your world. Keep spreading love and stay tuned for more inventions!

Love ya @LL and 574Y 7uN3D

@sharma-sagar
I don’t mind, but I rather that you post your question here in the forum.

@xxxolivierxxx haha i really should start building the machine now

would you mind if I email you an query that i have? if no please give your email id

@sharma-sagar
Sorry, I need some sleep. I read seconds, not minutes. Yes, the machine can produce more than 4 meters of filament per hour.

I don’t know which settings you need to get the results you want, there are so many variables that the only way to find out, is by trial and test.

The shredder link I provided was sarcasm 😉
I tried the pinterest links and they are opening fine for me

@xxxolivierxxx

the link that you gave for buying machine from alibaba that machine extrudes 90kg/hour man but also its expensive as hell

the Pinterest links don’t seem to work

@xxxolivierxxx

if suppose im extruding virgin PLA with 1.75 mm diameter and want yo achieve 1kg/hour capacity then what should be my motor speed/power/capacity?

hey @xxxolivierxxx thanks for the reply.

but i still have a doubt. you said that from this machine I’d easily get 1kg per hour for PLA but you also say it won’t give 4 meters per minute, i don’t get the math here.

Lets do the math.
4 meters/ minute= 240 meters/hour

1kg PLA with 1.75 mm diameter would constitute about 330 meters(according to Google)
so 240 meter would be around 720 grams of filament/ hour

please explain

@josealonso90

What things do you make with this machine? ( I was thinking for using the filament for making woven bags and baskets made out of recycled plastic) do you have anything else in mind

Here are a few ideas:

have you used colorant with the plastic?

Yes, use masterbatch in proportions of 1:30 or 1:50. 1:50 should work fine for virgin pellets, but for shredder plastic, I recommend you to use 1:30 to distribute the color evenly. Also, if you are going to use shredded plastic, make sure that the plastic bits are small. If your mesh grid has large holes, the plastic and the masterbatch won’t mix evenly.

How much time does the machine takes daily before setting up a steady line of plastic?

That depends on how fast you can find the appropriate extruding settings for each type of plastic.

how much foot / meter plastic in a minute is made?

Check my response here: http://onearmy.world/community/forums/topic/everthing-i-need-to-know-about-filament-extruder/

which plastic is best to work with?

It depends on what do you plan to do with that plastic. For 3D printing, people likes to use PLA because it’s almost odorless and has a low melting point. For anything else, use any plastic you can get: Pet, ABS, HDPE, LDPE, etc…

hey @sharma-sagar i search everywhere but no one knows how much wire per minute, every one say it depends upon motor and type of plastic but i need an nearby value, 4-5 meter/minute for example. Please tell me if you find one soon. I think

@philippeberhardt
can help we both same doubt

You will not get 4 meters per minute from this machine. If you want to get that amount of plastic in that amount of time, I recommend you to buy THIS

check this out @xxxolivierxxx
