Damn thank’s a lot, @kettlekekkers !!!

I will try with this : MAKITA

nice, this is really helpful thanks !!

@berkasal

yes the motor/planet gearbox/electronics all come from the commercial product
‘garden Mulcher”

its quick compact due to it being inline planetary, much the same as a cordless Drill…

thanks

Kekkers

interesting set up

is the gearbox obtained form the mulcher? or is did you have to find that additionally?

best,
berk

@plastic2fuel no worries, glad to help

would love to see it if you do build one !

This is really helpful thanks.
I am hoping to obtain a STEM grant to build a larger shredder……

Thank you for that information @kettlekekkers!

@lukas_lang sure, but i would say that if i were you id buy the stainless steel hex-bar, as this bright mild steel leaves a lot of rust in the plastic

also, it wont be perfectly 27mm, i had to file it down to fit

Hey @kettlekekkers,

do you have a link to the seller/product of the hex bar?
Because I´m also looking for a hex bar right now 😉

Lukas

Nice @kettlekekkers! Good to know there are some some powerful commercial motors to be salvaged

Nice,
cheap & easy!

@nonkonform yes, the garden mulcher on its own will not shredd plastic,

the garden mulcher was for the motor?
