Love it! you just cut the pet into stripes and then heated them to bond together? just watched the video on your site, I´m so glad somone is sharing their process… I´ve seen some interesting stuff in precious plastic shop but I wasn´t able to find a description how they made it, it is sad right? taking open source information, experimenting with the materials and processes and then selling the final product without sharing how you did it… Did you made the metal fixture yourself? I´ve seen some cutters for pet bottles to make stripes but yours look neat!

Thanks for your message. I decided to show my process because it’s part of the project to see the making process in order to discover a new process and an useful object. some people accept to share their discovery others prefer to keep it. I’m sharing my process and experiments but I’m selling my lamps as well.
I developed the wood mold and the metal fixture by myself because they have to be in the same size. I used the plastic bottle cutter :
