Pete #1

I work at a casino and we produce a lot of waste. Water bottles seem to be the biggest form that I can really start recycling at first. There is a lot of paper and Styrofoam but i need to start somewhere. I know HDPE has its place and is something that I have recycled into cutting boards and into other items but the bottles which it PETE of #1 plastic. I am having a hard time finding ideas and ways to use this. Just for one pot of coffee we use 4.5 bottles usually twice a shift. That adds up for just one department. Reason for the bottle water is the arsenic levels in the water naturally are way to high for some people. Any help would be appreciated for ideas on how to recycle this material would greatly be appreciated.

Hehe, and some other people can take higher levels?

Just joking,

I acctually have the same question, since I have lots of PET, and no idea to make good use for it…

Yes I know about rope and cordage. I was looking for alternative ideas on how to process.

You could look into making ropes out of them, with a simple enough tooling and without melting it.
