Motor couplers machined, painting done. (used hardware store paint and it took days to fully dry which delayed things)
the electrical control box is done, painted and awaiting wiring. Still need to purchase some terminal lugs, terminal blocks, and switches to finish it. one more metal part to make from angle bar.
Except….
The terminal connectors got misplaced, and the gearbox shafting was bent because I put on a new pulley, didnt get the key right and pulled the pulley wrong, bending the shaft.
This necessitated rebuilding the shaft on the input side. Checked the output shafting and it was bent so that also got fixed.
Assembled everything yesterday. Discovered that a seal was missing so all the oil leaked out.
Made new shaft seal on the lathe.
Now that is all together, making a upgraded barrel and hopper from stainless steel, then final wiring and assembly, Maybe Wednesday. it has been super hot in the shop with temperatures above 30c.
