@cymek and I are in the Maldives working in the Precious Plastic shipping container in partnership with Parley for the Oceans. The container is located in the WAMCO waste management site of Male’ where the island’s waste is collected and then sent to Thilafushi, a nearby island that they built to serve as a landfill.
Overall, our goal here is to work with locals who can take over the workspace after we’ve left as well as learn about how we can increase the odds of success for workspaces like this in the future.
