terra preta could be a fantastic way to get co2 back from the atmosphere. it can also help to make soils incredibly fertile. the main ingredient is biochar.
i’m considering whether it might not be possible to expand stoves so that they can be used to produce biochar without losing a lot of energy. this is the case with previous approaches.
it would work like a big commercial coking plant. you could fill the compartment above the oven with dry garden waste of any kind or wood chips.
the wood gases would be fed into the combustion chamber, so that the efficiency would increase considerably compared to open production.
does anyone have any idea who can build something like this?
