I have an idea for quite some time… Making knifes from old saw-blades.
These metal blades are incredibly strong and stiff. Combined with a fancy plastic handle it could become one of my favourite kitchen tools.
Idea is to experiment with some different techniques like the filament extruder, injection moulding and sheet press

Made the knife blade as planned from a old saw blade, and found a scrap metal tube for the hilt.
To prevent the hilt from rust, I gave it a spray paint finish.
Now I can put the plastic around 
Wow! That’s pretty neat! I used to work at a custom plastic extrusion company and they made colorful handles similar to that.
The blades are now finished with the handle, made with the plastic extrusion machine.
Only have to sharpen them!
